(a) Customers not ordinarily resident in United Kingdom
Due to current licensing restrictions relating to the distribution of software overseas, customers who are not normally resident in the UK (ie. do not have a UK address) are not eligible to apply for Barclays PC Banking.
(b) Business applications
If you would like to access your business accounts along with your personal accounts, please note that you will need to complete a business/personal application form. To do this please call the Barclays PC Banking Enquiry Line on 0800 000097 and the relevant application form will be sent to you.
NOTE 2
(a) Software options
Information regarding the functionality of the different software options is provided in the information pack which accompany this application form.
(b) Microsoft Money 97 and Microsoft Money 98
Please note that the Microsoft Money 97 and Microsoft Money 98 software should be purchased separately from a High Street retailer. The Microsoft software can then be made more effective by linking it with the Barclays PC Banking Service. A separate disk that facilitates the link to the Barclays service will be provided by Barclays. Barclays PC Banking will not be available via Microsoft Money 98 until January 1998.
NOTE 3
(a) Eligibility for Barclays PC Banking
Please note that personal customers can access the following accounts using the Barclays PC Banking service:
Barclays Current accounts
Barclays Savings accounts
Barclayloan accounts
Unfortunately, Offshore, Foreign Currency and Power of Attorney accounts are not currently eligible for the service.
NOTE 4
(a) If any account(s) to be registered on Barclays PC Banking are joint accounts and only one party wishes to use Barclays PC Banking, both parties to the account must sign section 4 of the application form (Agreement and Authorisation). This signifies that the second party to the joint account(s) agrees to the applicant accessing the joint account(s) using the Barclays PC Banking service.
(b) Barclays PC Banking is only available where one signature is required on cheques. If your joint account requires both parties to sign cheques, it will not be eligible for Barclays PC Banking. To amend an account that requires both parties to sign, please contact your local Barclays branch for them to arrange this.
(c) If both parties to the joint account(s) require access to the account(s) using the Barclays PC Banking service, both parties must apply using separate application forms. Additional application forms can be obtained by phoning the Barclays PC Banking Enquiry Line on 0800 000097. Both parties will be charged the relevant Initial Service and Annual Service fees.
